These guys take truss-delivering seriously. Which is a good thing; otherwise the whole shebang would be down over the side of the hill and we’d be fishing them out of the creek.
The process included lots of arm-waving and loud directions, pulling forward a little bit and then backing up again. It was probably more fun to watch than to be a part of.
It was about this point that a car came from the other direction and almost got sandwiched in between a flat-bed full of trusses and a steep drop to the creek. It made me laugh. Fortunately they backed out with no mishaps.
Now all the trusses are here. And… we no longer have a circular drive. Today the UPS truck had to turn around in our parking lot and drive back out the way he came in because part of the driveway is covered in trusses. Oh well. It’s a small price to pay, I guess. At least people can still get here. And out again.
